Good morning everyone! And happy Monday!

So we’re halfway through February, and perhaps we have kept consistent with our goals, and maintaining our new years resolutions. And if that’s you, congratulations! Keep on going.

However, if you’re like me and maybe consistency has been a struggle at times, this is your Monday morning reminder to keep on going. What can happen is that once we’ve started to slip up, it’s easy to say that’s it, I’ll try again next year. But, we don’t need to do that.

I’ll be transparent, I had said I want to read my bible every single day, and I had started the first few days well, even got myself a new bible just to read the bible from the beginning, I was ready. But I missed one day, then I missed another, and by the third day I was thinking I might as well stop and give this up because there’s no point. But I had to remind myself and shake myself back that I said I want to do this, like I said in my one of my previous blog post: remember why you started! I wanted to read more of the word of God so I could grow more, and learn more. So there was no point staying where I was, I had to get back up.

The bible in Proverbs 24:16 tells us that a righteous man falls seven times but gets back up! It’s not the falling that matters, it’s the fact you get back up. Jesus Himself was falling on the road to the cross, but He kept going because there was work that had to be done, there was a goal that had to be achieved. Sometimes life just happens, and things stop us from staying consistent. That’s completely understandable. Life can knock us off our feet. But get back up! Though we may fall, get back up.

If you needed a reminder, or just a reason to pick it up again, don’t stop. Keep on going. Yes you may have to catch up a little, but that’s okay, because we’re not in a race anyway.
