Don’t put God in a box!

Good morning ! I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe. Happy first of the month!

This morning I was reminded of the scripture in Ephesians 3:20, and I saw it in a completely new light!

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I just wanted to breakdown this scripture a little bit. Now to Him who is able. God has the ability, the capability, to do everything. The problem that we have is we limit God, or put God into the box of human capabilities. We only see Gods abilities to the extent we could handle ourselves. Meaning if we don’t think we could make it work ourselves, we think there’s no way God can.

“But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There are some things which are impossible for us, which we can’t physically do on our own. But we weren’t created to do the impossible. That’s God’s job. All we need to do is believe and trust in Him.

God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Have you ever prayed for something then you are shocked that God actually came through for you? I know I have. “Wow God! You actually do answer prayers.” We often trust God for the day to day things. We trust He wakes us up in the morning, He protects us as we drive or travel to work. But when it comes to believing for the impossible or great miracles, we’re slightly hesitant. We praise God for doing great things for others, but may not trust He can do it for us. But God can do above all that we ask or think! Sometimes we don’t even have the courage to ask, but He can do above all that we think. Exceedingly. Abundantly. Surpassing all our expectations. He can do that.

According to (His) power that is works in us. His power is already in us. He can do great things in your life !

As I wrap up my this post, I just want you to remember to not limit God to human understanding and limits. I spoke once of Sarah. How she laughed at the promise of a son, because she couldn’t see past her age, her human limits and said it’s impossible. A lot of us have the Sarah mentality. But we need to trust in God, because He can do so much more than our minds can even imagine! Don’t put God in a box. Trust God.

Have an amazing day. God bless you x

Peace, joy & love x
