Good evening all! I hope you’re doing well.
So this message has been within me all day and I wasn’t settled before I could share it. Probably because God wanted to remind me of it!
I’ve probably said this several times now, but this year is my year of consistency. Not just doing things for a one time, or a small period of time , but consistently daily practices. Putting things in order, prioritising and getting into good habits.
I’ have also always said I’d stay as open and transparent with you and myself; in some areas I had been consistent, but not progressing past the baseline point. So , I had achieved reading a portion of scripture daily, but I hadn’t been going above that and doing more. Literally was satisfied with doing the bare minimum. Which isn’t how it should nd.
So the Holy Spirit stopped me in my tracks and gave me the idea of doing reading plans and share with you guys. So going through the bible , daily readings and updating every week on important notes to remember!
I Found a great plan schedule : Biblica.com bible in one year plan ! And I’ll be writing a post once a week! On a recap of the chapters read. And the upcoming week chapters! Originally I wanted to wait until the new year to start something like this. It’s always fun to set our New Years resolutions, but sometimes we’re waiting for the ‘right moment’ to start, when the time is now!
This for me also brings another level of accountability, because I know I’ve said this, I’ve wrote it down. And I’m gonna stay committed as best as I can.
So on the website, you can set the start date, and it tells you what to read for the dat, laying out the daily readings too!
So these are the readings for this week , for the next 7 days.
Day one: Genesis 1, Genesis 2:1-17 Matthew 1:1-25 Psalm 1:1-6
2 Genesis 2:18-25, Genesis 3, Genesis 4:1-16 Matthew 2:1-18 Psalm 2:1-12
Genesis 4:17-26, Genesis 5, Genesis 6 Matthew 2:19-23, Matthew 3 Psalm 3:1-8
Genesis 7, Genesis 8, Genesis 9:1-17 Matthew 4:1-22 Proverbs 1:1-7
Genesis 9:18-29, Genesis 10, Genesis 11:1-9 Matthew 4:23-25, Matthew 5:1-20 Psalm 4:1-8
Day 6 Genesis 11:10-32, Genesis 12, Genesis 13 Matthew 5:21-42 Psalm 5:1-12
Day 7: Genesis 14, Genesis 15, Genesis 16 Matthew 5:43-48, Matthew 6:1-24 Psalm 6
I pray that this will be something to grow our desire and love for the word of God! Set reminders, maybe gave a set time, so maybe two chapters in the morning. One on audiobook on the way to work, two in the evening. Whichever works for you. Get a notebook! Pray before reading and allow God to minister to you through His word. And enjoy this!! Learning more about God.
I love you all, and pray you’re well. Check up on a friend today, and stay safe also. Thank you for the love, support, comments, likes! It means so much.
God bless you ,
Peace, joy & love
