Good morning, afternoon or evening! I hope you’re doing well.
It’s been a little longer since I wrote my last post, it’s been a busy week, which kind of inspired this post.
Mindfulness has been encouraged a lot in recent years, just stopping and taking time to be aware of your environment, everything you see, what’s going on the outside and on the inside how you are feeling internally. And I realised often it’s easier said than done
This week, I got the opportunity to visit a lake, which was genuinely one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen!

And for a moment I was so busy with just making sure I took pictures to remember this moment, that I forgot to actually be in that moment. I’m a huge lover of photographs and savouring memories so I can look back on. But I had to realise there’s an importance in just taking the time to breathe and be there.
Not only physically but even emotionally and mentally . I was on my head so much thinking about packing and sorting out what I had to do when I got home, or things to sort out next week. We can get caught up with our thoughts and in our head, thinking about what we’re doing tomorrow, what I have to do later. “What if this doesn’t work, or this doesn’t happen, I need a plan A B and a C.” It never ends. Responsibilities never stop of course! However, I had to learn ( and I am still learning ) for myself that once in a while it’s okay to put that down, just for a moment and to be there mentally. To make a mental note, or even imagine that you’re putting the cup full of responsibilities down for a moment. It doesn’t mean you’ve forgotten, but just allowing yourself to breathe.
This world can be so busy, and can be so fast, but just making sure you have a moment if you can, just to stop. Stop the thoughts racing, stop the worrying, even for rife minutes out of the day, out everything down and away. And just be still. Even when we are around people we love. Let your mind be there for a moment. Enjoy every single moment with the people you have. Enjoy their presence too.
Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
NKJV

There something about being still, which we are reminded of here. Now I know it’s not always easy for everyone and it’s not everyone who can take a day out to forget everything or spend that time away. But even just taking five minutes where you can get when you can.
So, I hope this post helps you a little and I hope as always that you’re well.
May God bless you, and that you find a moment of peace in your day where you can.
God bless you,
Peace, joy & love
