Amazing grace , how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once, was lost but now I’m found. Was blind but now I see.

I grew up hearing this song, at school assemblies, at church, but I never really understood the depth of what was being said until growing up.

Amazing grace. The grace of God, sounds so sweet, it saves us, even when we were or are imperfect, a mess.

I once was lost, but now I’m found. Was blind but now I see.

Luke 15, gives us 3 parables: the parable of the lost sheep, the parable of the lost coin and the parable of the lost son ! We have a sheep a coin and a son. Each precious to the one to whom it/they belong to.

Lost sheep: Jesus explains that a shepherd loses 1 sheep out of a flock of 100. Because each and every sheep is important to him, he would rather leave the 99, in order to find the 1 that is lost. Not only does he go and search for it, but he doesn’t stop searching until it’s found. That’s the love of God towards us.

And I wondered, why would you leave 99 sheep for just 1? Firstly , It’s the fact that the herd is not complete until that 1 is found. Each and every single one is precious. And secondly, when a sheep is isolated, particularly if it’s young. It’s very vulnerable. It can fall from the edge of a cliff , to be killed, or stolen. Anything can happen when it’s alone! However, sheep feel safer in the herd, therefore the 99 were good. They weren’t in need of saving.

Sometimes we may be like that sheep, lost their way, and feel lost, out of your depth, and scared.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬, he stands and knocks! God is never leaving you, but wants you back where He can keep you safe.

Are you the one?

Parable of the lost coin: the woman loses a coin, and is searching for it everywhere. Although she had 9 more, that one coin is still so precious, and as valuable as the other 9. You are so precious. So so precious !

And how they rejoice when they find what they’re looking for. Heaven still looks for you, ready to rejoice!

Know and understand that grace is for all, and He loves you. Always. He stands knocking at the of your heart.
