So in today’s Feature Friday, I’ve got one of my big brothers from church, who’s an author and a speaker, a preacher of the word and is that inspiring he even made it a nickname “IG inspires”! His name is Ian Guzete , I hope you enjoy the post !

The Battle in and For your soul

The condition of our souls differ because of our backgrounds- what unifies us is the access to the fountain of life . We are connected by one spirit but we differ within our souls because the issues in our souls are different. The condition of your soul differs based on what you went through when growing up. The spirit makes us one but now, using the same source (spirit) we must now work out our own salvation into our souls.

I must now use the word of God and prayer to recondition my soul. Flushing out all the toxic things that have affected me. Some things in my past that have left scars and personalities; and suspicions that are difficult to live with. So now my battle , my war is with my past through the word of God.

The devil is aware of my condition, so he brings things to exploit me so that I remain a slave to the toxic condition of my soul. He wants to kill the idea or the view that I have which is to say that “I can be transformed” so that I just give up and accept defeat. This is because without my will engaged and my desire to change, there is a mental block which says “I’ll just accept this as my reality”.

The bridge between this is the word of God. The word of God can come in the form of preaching which then can convict and provoke you ,challenge you with the truth , urge you to rise and provoke you to desire to let go of the dark reality that you are currently in ,so that you can reach towards what God truly has in store for you.

People have lived in their negativity long enough, that it has now become their reality as it is what they are used to. They strongly believe that their world ,friends ,attitude,spending and lifestyle is built around this world. That is all they know.

The gospel then comes in to challenge and shatter their reality and the battle of many is letting go of the old and believing in the good news of Jesus Christ.

As much as the battle is spiritual, it’s also embedded within the soul (mental faculties, intellect,personality,attitude), hence why they scripture says “our weapons of warfare are not carnal but our mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”

The challenge will always remain because what our five senses interact with, makes a huge contribution to our souls. No matter how much good and positivity you feed yourself with today – tomorrow, positive vibes will be challenged by something negative. In the world that we live in you don’t need to work hard to be negative or to find negativity because that is the condition of the world in this lifetime.

The world is a condemned, it’s a ticking bomb 💣 , the conditions are only going to get worse and worse because God has put a time limit on it. It has already been declared that heaven and earth will pass away and God has a new blueprint in which He will roll out whenever He sees fit.

In this new world everything will be made new , there will be no memories of this past world. There will be no evil , no sin, no sorrow, no pain. His “delay” is giving humanity a chance to repent from sin because in the end, sin and sinner must be punished eternally in hell. This is because that is His nature and He is a holy God. He hates sin and the wages of sin is death.

However, God has provided a way for Humanity to avoid all this through Jesus who says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. -John 14:6

Have you accepted the call of God who say “ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. -Revelation 3:20
