Take it to the Lord [in prayer]

Happy Monday all !

Hope you enjoyed this weekend, and it was peaceful and joyful for you.

I’ve had this song in my head. And I’ve had it on repeat for the past week , it’s a lovely song by Chandler Moore – What a friend. I’ve been repeating the Trey McLaughlin cover too! (I’ll link both).

In a nutshell the song is telling us that we have a friend in Jesus , and all our needs, He bore them, and everything, we should take it to the Lord in prayer !

Which is what I want to quickly write about just before I head to revise. There’s something so wonderful, about having God as a father figure. When you see a child , to a parent, a healthy relationship shows whenever they hurt themselves, whenever they find something new, for comfort , or even just to interact , they go to the parent.

Often, we leave God as a last resort, rather than our priority. Today at church they preached about prayer, and Daniel – when he found out horrible news, he went back to prayer. Straight away!

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Now, I’m already feeling that verse to become my newest series, ( so watch this space!). But Daniel, went straight to God. Not as his last resort but first priority.

In Philippians 4;

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In everything, and I repeat in everything good and bad, happy or sad, in everything, pray about it.

pray without ceasing,

‭‭I Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NKJV‬

Simply put , pray always. Now sometimes when a customer at work, or someone in the car park has annoyed you, you can’t always get the room to go and kneel, but you can say a prayer in your heart. Take it to God. In prayer !

So, that’s my encouragement. Just as in relationships, talking and honesty is important, it’s so important in our relationship with God that we communicate with Him. And you know what, it’s for our benefit too, just talking to God about it, can give you a peace that you needed , can just calm you, and as your father – He will hear you and is working everything out for good ♥️.

Have a fantastic week!

God bless you
