Hey guys!
Hope you had a good week
So I wanted to talk about the process of waiting. That time in between something happening , and something that has already happened. Be it a change in career, be it waiting on God to start moving in your calling, be it just in a stage in life where you feel stagnant. The wait! In the bible, we don’t hear much about the time between Jesus when He was 12, and the time when he started the ministry, around 30 they say. But He knew He was going to do great things , He was God afterall
Sometimes we know that God has called us to be something great , he’s shown us that we’ve got a skill , but it’s that period of waiting for things to pick up, this also includes businesses, or even finding a job. You know greater is there, but it’s just not arrived yet.
I can give myself as an example. Uni has finished, and I’ve not yet found a job I want to do yet over summer. Results day isn’t until next week, neither is a few other things, I’m waiting for a lot. I’m awaiting confirmation, I’m awaiting a phone call or email , or just for something to happen. And I’m not sure if you’ve ever been in this situation , but it sucks. And it just feels like your stuck, you want to move but nothing seems to be happening , and it’s a waiting game.
We all love the prize , but hate the process .
Let’s look at David in the bible. He was anointed that he would be the next King of Israel. Yet after that word, he had to go back to the fields and back to his ordinary work. Though he knows his destiny is greater than watching sheep in the field and he’s got something great within him , he’s having to wait until the time when God says let’s go. Imagine being anointed as the next King, but it not being time to start reigning so you have to go back to the mundane. Just like Jesus. We don’t hear much before the start of his ministry , but yet his destination was the cross.
Now, we may not be the next King of England , or something like that but maybe you have your business that just hasn’t kicked up yet , and you’re waiting for your time to come. Or like me, still waiting for that job offer, or just anything. God sees you.
1. Be thankful – be thankful that God has shown you are destined for greatness. Be thankful for the little that you have , how far you’ve come.
“in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
I Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV
2. Build your skill set – Jesus was a carpenter, David a musician who was skilled. He also killed a bear and a lion, whilst keeping his responsibilities as a shepherd. What are you a steward over? What skills can you build or develop? If it’s photography, or music or art, work on being the best you can be. Advance yourself, even in something new. God will use that!
“But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.”
I Samuel 17:34-35 NKJV
What David did in the wilderness prepared him to face the giant he didn’t even know he was gonna have to fight.
3.Don’t be idle – because that’s when the devil whispers things , and your mind runs. You may not have all the money you want, but find a way to stay busy, be it volunteering, helping someone else, don’t stop doing good , even if your situation makes you feel otherwise.
~ “But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.”
II Thessalonians 3:13 NKJV
4. Encourage someone else – it may be hard to encourage yourself , find a good community of people who you can also encourage. Misery loves company, so please stay positive
“Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”
I Thessalonians 5:11 NKJV
5. Keep praying – be persistent with God in his word and in communication with Him! He cares for you
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
I Peter 5:6-7 NKJV
The wait isn’t always fun , but all a part of the process of life. “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.”
Psalms 130:5 NKJV
“Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”
Psalms 27:14 NKJV
“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
Your time is coming! Wait on the Lord♥️

Thanks TK for yet another practical topic and well explained content on waiting!! I liked your very ideal biblical examples.
From my personal experiences it is very true that waiting times can be the most trying times. There were times I experienced undesirable moments during waiting times. Friends and close people left me, but thanks be to God who is always there with and for us unconditionally. Once more thanks TK for such valued and quality materials.
