Hey guys !
(Welcome back to my YouTube channel)
I’m just playing, but seriously welcome ! I hope you’re all good. So today , 19/03/2019, I realised that I, lack consistency. I admit it. I’m so bad when it comes to starting and stopping , beginning something and ending it, just as soon as it started. I find it hard to stay consistent with ideas and to follow through.
Procrastination really is the thief of time, you’ll stay in the same cycle of starting and stopping, and end up achieving a life-time of ‘could’ve’ and ‘should’ve’, but that’s not my portion anymore!
There’s an importance of building healthy habits in life. Human beings we’re creatures of habit, and the more you reinforce the habit and don’t change them, the stronger they get.
So! What does this have to do with embrace?
I’ve always wanted to be more consistent with my writing, however, I will procrastinate weeks on end, without being serious, yet I want to do well and write to reach others, and have an amazing blog with thousands of followers etc. This is what psychologists call incongruence. This is a discord, and an inconsistency between my real self and my ideal self. I thought what can I do to start getting consistent with my writing, and I thought, maybe do a small series!
Introducing embrace:

My next post was about to be about embracing who you are, as you are. Then, like usual, I got a revelation when I was in the shower, and I thought , what if for the next couple of weeks I tied in posts together, surrounding the theme of embrace!
SO, here we are!
I have so many ideas, (hence why I’ve written them down, so I don’t lose them!), including a poetry wednesday! .
I’m so excited to share this journey of embracing who we are, embracing the season we are in, embracing others the way they are, and taking life by the handlebars!
I’m gonna leave you with a definition of what embracing actually is
-
1.hold (someone) closely in one’s arms, especially as a sign of affection.“Aunt Sophie embraced her warmly”
synonyms: hug, take/hold in one’s arms, hold, cuddle, clasp to one’s bosom, clasp, squeeze, clutch, seize, grab; More -
2.accept (a belief, theory, or change) willingly and enthusiastically.
We’re gonna be focusing on the second definition !
accepting, willingly and enthusiastically!
See you next post! Have a fantastic week, go and be a blessing.
Oh! and start a healthy habit!
lots of love!
